Serge Guérin, professor of sociology and director of the MSc Health program at INSEEC U., announced yesterday, during a press conference, the launch of the Agency for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (A-MCA).
This new agency, directed by Véronique Suissa, advised by Philippe Denormandie and chaired by Serge Guérin, was created in the wake of the publication of the book “Complementary and Alternative Medicine: For or Against?
The A-MCA is a place for reflection and action on the structuring of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM). Working groups, debates, field experiments, training and publications are all cross-cutting initiatives supported by the Agency. Thanks to the support of institutional partners (associations, universities, mutual insurance companies, etc.) and the support of a committee of experts (scientists, elected officials, institutions, etc.), the A-MCA aims to deploy a national strategy in the field based on a dual dynamic of integration and vigilance.
