Korian has joined forces with IFG Executive Education, the continuing education division of INSEEC U., to launch its first European training program for 800 managers of care facilities dedicated to the elderly or frail.
The Covid-19 crisis has profoundly changed organizations. She emphasized the importance of the collective, the sharing of experiences as well as the central place of local management in the health sector establishments, close to the residents, their families, the teams and all the stakeholders of the company. With nearly 950 establishments – retirement homes, clinics, senior residences – in Europe and therefore as many managers, Korian is launching this month, in partnership with IFG Executive Education, a specific three-year training course dedicated to strengthening managerial skills, one of the very first in Europe in the health and medical-social sector.
A collective dynamic with personalized content
The program begins with an individual self-assessment of each director’s skills and abilities, developed with the firm Alexander Hughes. Each person is then offered a customized training program.
A theme will be defined each year:
- The first year will allow us to collectively define a “Korian Management Charter”;
- The2nd year will focus on innovation and creativity methods;
- Thethird year will be dedicated to the school project and to collaboration with all stakeholders.
Innovative teaching methods adapted to the European dimension
This “blended learning” program, developed with IFG Executive Education, the Group’s long-standing partner in management training, is based on an agile and innovative teaching method. It will combine, for each manager, a total of 72 hours of e-learning, 150 hours of virtual classes and in principle one day of face-to-face sharing per year (depending on the health situation). The co-development techniques and digital tools developed will promote self-confidence, exchanges and cooperation between peers, thus creating a “Korian way” of managing the Group’s sites in Europe.
“This project is a real challenge because of the pedagogical innovations and the multicultural aspects that it mobilizes over time. Korian and IFG Executive Education are taking up this challenge together with a tailor-made training program that has been co-designed with our shared values of social responsibility. underlines Sylvie Faucheux, General Manager of IFG Executive Education
“Site managers occupy an absolutely central position in our Group, at the crossroads of the service provided to residents, patients and families, the support of teams and the management of the establishment in relation to all the stakeholders present in the territory. Regardless of the country in which they are based, site directors will share a common management culture based on our corporate values and our “Care at Heart” corporate project. says Rémi Boyer, Director of Human Resources and CSR of the Korian group.
