SCHOOL PRESENTATION
Founded in 1899, HEIP is one of the oldest schools in the field of teaching international relations and political science. In addition to the wealth of over a century of experience, HEIP has an important alumni network. Our high-quality teaching faculty includes legal experts, economists, geographers, demographers, historians and well-known figures from the worlds of academia, diplomacy and the military. In addition, a network of international partners enables students to complete part of their studies at a foreign university. HEIP’s privileged setting with a modern Parisian campus, just a stone’s throw from the eiffel Tower, offers students an ideal place to work and interact (HEIP is part of INSEEC U., a group of 16 higher education establishments). HEIP also has a campus in London and, in 2019, also opened a site in Lyon ! In the context of economic, legal and institutional globalization, which forces us to reflect on the rules of the game of world governance and the conditions for maintaining peace, countries with a strong historical and cultural tradition, including France, are led to broaden their modes of cooperation and development. The renewal of diplomacy requires a broadening of the actors: civil society diplomacy, decentralized cooperation, large companies, but also themes: economic, scientific, cultural, religious, sports diplomacy…The second year of the MSc program allows students to specialize in a particular field of activity. The programs are led by experts in their field with highly developed professional networks. All the programs are carried out in alternating school/workplace rhythm. The vast majority of our teachers and lecturers in the second year are senior civil servants, academics, private sector executives or general officers who have completed their active period. They are all very involved in the proessional integration of our students. The second year of the MSc International Studies program trains students to become experts in international relations and cooperation and allows them to deepen their knowledge, each time in direct relation to the chosen specialty.
